Ryan Hurd Jokes Maren Morris Invited Him On Tour To Hold The Baby

Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd are getting ready for the arrival of their first child. With music as an important part of the couple's life, they have already started to prepare their unborn son.

"Maren sings all day long, so he’s always hearing her sing," Hurd shared with People. "I like playing Beatles records through my phone, sticking it there, being like, ‘This is Paul McCartney. You’re going to definitely want to know him.’"

Hurd continues on to explain that as exciting as it'd be to have his son enjoy music with him, it's okay if he doesn't.

"I’ve never done this before, but I’m really excited," he continued. "I hope he likes stuff I like to do, and if he doesn’t like stuff I like to do I’ll just figure out what he likes to do and go learn how to like that. I don’t really know how else to be prepared for being a dad other than being like, ‘Whatever we’ve gotta do.’"

A few months after the baby's arrival, the family will hit the road for Morris' headlining "RSVP: The Tour." Hurd, who's opening for his wife jokes, "I'm there to pretty much hold the baby from 9:30 to 11. That's basically why I got booked. I was asked and told that we will be touring together this year."

The tour will kick off on June 5 in Boston, Massachusetts, with shows running through October 17 in Los Angeles, California. In addition to Hurd, James Arthur and Caitlyn Smith will also serves as opening acts.
