Farmington’s Spring Dumpster Weekend Returns April 11 & 12!

Farmington, NM – City of Farmington residents are invited to dispose of large household

items and yard trimmings for free during Spring Dumpster Weekend on Saturday and Sunday,

April 11-12, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Berg Park (Scott Ave & San Juan Blvd).

Due to increased demand, residency, ID, and load size restrictions will be strictly enforced

Eligibility and ID requirements

• Event is free for City of Farmington residents only.

• No county road addresses accepted.

• Proof of residency is required (two forms):

o Valid photo ID

o Current paper utility bill dated within 60 days (your utility bill must show

“Sanitation and Sewer Service Charges”)

Load restrictions

Each household may bring one standard full-size truck bed of material. Trailers are allowed

up to 10 feet in length. Residents may bring one mixed load (such as household waste or

scrap metal) and one yard-waste-only load, or two yard-waste-only loads. If limits are exceeded,

residents may be redirected to the landfill. Participants should be prepared to unload their

own materials; WM staff will assist when available.

What we CAN take

• Yard trimmings and yard waste

• Scrap metal

• Cardboard

• Non-hazardous household trash

• Dried paint

• Refrigerators/Freezers (limit 2)

• Tires (limit 8)

What we CANNOT take

• Household chemicals

• Liquid paint

• Automotive fluids, including motor oil and antifreeze

• Cement or bricks

• Commercial loads

• Electronics
