City of Farmington Lifeguard Recruitment Open House for 2025 Aquatic Season

Farmington Aquatic Center

The City of Farmington’s Aquatics Division will host a Lifeguard Recruitment Open House on Friday, April 4, from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at the Farmington Aquatic Center. This event is open to individuals ages 15 and older who are interested in becoming certified lifeguards and working for the City of Farmington this summer.

Attendees will learn about seasonal job openings at Bisti Bay Water Park, Lake Farmington Beach, Farmington Aquatic Center, and Lions Pool. Staff will be available to provide information on job expectations, hiring timelines, and upcoming certification classes. Participants are encouraged to bring a friend and explore this exciting opportunity together.

“Our lifeguards play a vital role in keeping our community safe while helping families have fun in and around the water,” said Andy Decker, Assistant Director of Recreation. “We’re looking for individuals who are alert, responsible, and ready to be part of a supportive, energetic team. Lifeguarding is an ideal job for teens—it’s fun, flexible, and provides valuable life and leadership skills.”

The next Lifeguard Certification Class will take place April 11–13, with an additional class offered later in April. Training and certification costs are covered for individuals hired as lifeguards by the City of Farmington.
